Zip line for the first time

After Zane's small zip line experience at the ninja course, he was ready for the real deal big time. So, Nicole found the only zip line course that allows 5 year olds in New Zealand, which was conveniently 15 minutes away from our accommodation. Rotorua Rafting (map) was who we used.  We zip-lined across two waterfalls, including the longest waterfall drop for river rafting, a 7 meter (23ft) drop.  After zipping through our second line they allowed us to go back out on the line and just hang over the waterfall for a few minutes - it was incredible and a bit scary.  Zane went with me the first line, Nicole the second, and by himself the last two lines. By the fourth zip line he was going backwards and bragging about it.  They also had a hanging bridge that we were able to attach to and lean off in the middle, now I thought that was scary.  This was Nicole's favorite activity so far through the trip. I'm so glad it was such a nice day and we really had a fun group to go with, our two guides really liked getting Zane involved. One of them had him signaling over the walkie-talkie to the other side when the brake was set for the next person to come across.

After all the excitement of zip lining we needed some downtime. I love how Zane and Nicole maximize the relax, I think Z wanted to pretend he was watching his shows from the zip line back edge of the couch.

To top off the wonderful day we went out for sushi again at our favorite place, Yamato.  Definitely our favorite restaurant so far.  The food in New Zealand is the only letdown of our trip, sweetness seems to be the general cuisine flavoring theme.  Every place we have stayed has had a kitchen and some of our favorite meals we've prepared for ourselves.  Zane loves his pork chops flavored with Tajin, easy and fast.
